Jung and the I Ching

Carl Jung was a follower, practitioner, and student of the I Ching.

After reading his essay in, Man and His Symbols, I began to practice the I Ching. I do, daily.

(I am currently reading Jung's Modern Man in Search of a Soul and I can relate to the collective unconsciousness and dream symbols, life's language.)

I am discovering that the I Ching is a time table, as we know, it has is a calculated form, as any card deck or oracle is. The I Ching is very simple and yields much wisdom. Every time I consult the I Ching, my day is ordered in such a way that it feels like life is flowing according to Cosmic Time, the Chi of Life, the order of things is in proper order.

After being inspired by Carl Jung's use of the I Ching, I am going to read The I Ching or Book of Changes by Richard Wilhelm and Cary Baynes, with a foreword by Carl Jung as well as his Richard Wilhelm's Lectures on the I Ching: Constancy and Change.

I will post more about the I Ching as it unfolds.
