Speaking with Ancestors

Carl Jung

Every moment is connected to my ancestors. I believe that time is connected to the past, present, and future. It is simple: my ancestors are present in my daily moment and when I honor them, I honor myself.

Can you imagine that your inner peace relies on your ancestors? Can you start to live according to what would make your ancestors happy? What if I could live in such a way that would please my ancestors even with what I chose to eat?

Carl Jung agrees with me.

“Inner peace and contentment depend in large measure upon whether or not the historical family which is inherent in the individual can be harmonized with the ephemeral conditions of the present.”

— Memories, Dreams, Reflections by Carl Gustav Jung

I, also, think that inner peace is achieved, when I choose the right way to live. Those ways have already been given to me by my ancestors. I just have to listen. This is why silence in the library is so important. I need the silence in order to listen to my ancestor's guidance.

What if my ancestors were repelled by what I was doing and thus creating a disturbance to my inner peace?

This is why 12-step work works, because I have the ability to clean up my past in the present, and thus by making amends, I can change the future by living according to a new design for living, through changed behavior. I have asked for forgiveness and I do my best every day to make wise decisions.

What if every decision could be guided by my ancestors? When I ask for direction, is the disturbance of my solar plexus connected to every soul in my family tree? TRUST my gut, right? Well, what if my gut was also connected to the control center receiving directions from my ancestor's family tree of souls?

That would be hilarious: if all I had to do was to listen to my ancestors in order to attain inner peace! My ancestors have made mistakes, they learned from them, and they are probably trying to teach me. I wonder how much wisdom they have? So much!

I spend my day in meditation, asking my ancestors what do we need to do today? The answer and guidance that I receive that leads me to tending to my laundry, my food, my family, my journaling, my thoughts, my goals, my dreams, and my books.

Conversations with my ancestors goes like this:

"Take care of your mom."

"Ok, I am and I will."

Cycles of Time

Kandinsky, On the Points, 1928

My poetic thoughts about TIME this morning:

What if trees kept track of time? What if trees were keepers of the REAL clock? Doesn't Kandinsky's painting, On the Points, look like it's keeping track of time?

“I am an orphan, alone; nevertheless I am found everywhere. I am one, but opposed to myself. I am youth and old man at one and the same time. I have known neither father nor mother, because I have had to be fetched out of the deep like a fish, or fell like a white stone from heaven. In woods and mountains I roam, but I am hidden in the innermost soul of man. I am mortal for everyone, yet I am not touched by the cycle of aeons.”
— Memories, Dreams, Reflections by Carl Gustav Jung
As portions of time are taken, into our individual distracting pastimes, on the screens, our society doesn't have time for what I value: time in silence, meditating, or watching a sunset. I rarely meet anyone these days who appreciate the silence of trees as much as I do.

I met someone yesterday who prefers trees to humans just like Georgia O'Keeffe who was also a fan of Kandinsky. It seems to be a lost art and problems of human instincts have gone astray, searching for sex, security, and society, thus, humans are losing so much time, that they could be spending on building each other up, and building cities that are at One with nature or at least built for silence. I guess I am searching for the lost ecovillage.

I traveled the United States looking for ecovillages in 2000. I found only a peacock farm and a wine tasting party.

Anyway, Carl Jung has written about the cycles of life, and what he had found to be the most meaningful. Granted, he did not live with iPhones, but he can relate to distracting gadgets, and the lack of presence in humans when faced with the options to communicate faster with technology. Communicating faster need not mean we lose our humanity and our presence with God, I always pause and ask God for guidance. Even now, as I accept things that I cannot change, I can ask others to help create a society that values the time spent in silence.

Let's see if humankind can continue to use time wisely, and in order to conserve time, spend time with the wisdom of trees.

“Reforms by advances, that is, by new methods or gadgets, are of course impressive at first, but in the long run they are dubious and in any case dearly paid for. They by no means increase the contentment or happiness of people on the whole. Mostly, they are deceptive sweetenings of existence, like speedier communications which unpleasantly accelerate the tempo of life and leave us with less time than ever before. Omnis festinatio ex parte diaboli est—all haste is of the devil, as the old masters used to say.”
— Memories, Dreams, Reflections by Carl Gustav Jung

What was in today, is out tomorrow.

“The forms it borrows change from day to day, and, as it continually advances, what is today a phrase of inner harmony becomes tomorrow one of outer harmony.”
— The Art of Spiritual Harmony by Wassily Kandinsky

Drawing with Genesis

With true humility, I write this, for this is what has come to me in my humble beginnings to connect with my Higher Power through a morning meditation and a spiral notebook.

I was inspired to write this blog. Now, I am inspired to write this post and share with you my insights about sacred geometry and Genesis in the Bible.

One morning, I was drawing a circle. I always see the circle as sacred, as a symbol of creation. The oneness of GOD. I am thoroughly convinced that the circle, or mandala, holds the key to our psyche. As we join hands, we seek to discover a power greater than ourselves, in a circle of others, I really do feel the power of the planet and the planet's guardians come into the sacred circle and advance us into a spiral of greater goodness.

Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.
Ralph Waldo Emerson

When I was drawing my circle and following the directions in Genesis, I was shown how it really explains the beginning of creation! I saw it in my mandala. I saw how each paragraph described a new way to square the circle, divide the portions, provisions, or values of the circle. The quarters, slices of the pie, angles, square and/or equate to a new order of things. The circle created order out of chaos.

This guided me to start philosophizing that when someone is living too divided and only living in one half of their circle, they become imbalanced.

When half gods go, the gods arrive. - Ralph Waldo Emerson

Ralph's quote started to make sense! The angels, angles of the circle, bring each other's circle into balance again, as they ask to live in wholeness, the circle thus becomes whole. Is our life lived as a journey into wholeness, one day at a time?

(image 129, Carl Jung's Dragon holding a mandala)

Genesis in the Bible explained the sequence of the segments and then the final "apple" or toroidal shape was made in the center. Was the symbol of the apple, to Adam and Eve, a symbol of wisdom or GOD-centeredness, when the apple opened their eyes?

The shape of the apple of my eye is the target, the completed mandala, the GOD circle, when the cross is in the center, with a smaller circle within, and a line, the tree of life drawn through that, this is the ultimate oneness with GOD.

The circle is complete when the circle is entered through the final angelic line, the seventh line, after a line, from the rose-wind compass, translated to thoracic bone or rib, is drawn that it becomes the finished mandala.

In the WOMEN symbol and not the MEN symbol, there is a line, at the angle of the "rib or bone", it is a direction from the rose-wind compass. If it's added to the MEN symbol, the symbol becomes the WOMEN symbol. If you take away the "rib" angle from the WOMEN symbol, then you have the MEN symbol.

COMMENTS ON GENESIS' ADAM AND EVE STORY ACCORDING TO MY DISCOVERIES OF CREATING THE GOD CIRCLE FROM GENESIS' DIRECTIONS:

(The rib angle was taken away from the MEN, true. They lack the "rib" line, the WOMEN symbol does not. Who is to say that they had the line to begin with? If the symbol of wholeness with all angles existed then the MEN came from WOMEN, or if we are building lines from no lines, then the MEN were created without the "rib" direction, and WOMEN were. It is simple: the WOMEN symbol has more lines then MEN and therefore, they are closer to a completed GOD circle. MEN need WOMEN to create the GOD circle, to enter the center of the GOD circle, to birth the child, from the tree of life, a.k.a. the fruit, the apple, from the tree of life, known as the fruit of life. They were naked or barekh, meaning blessed, and procreated, yes, blessed with a child maybe, or they realized they were bareya, meaning in the desert, which is more likely, once they discovered their compass:) The sacred union did not cause them to be banished from wholeness, but created a way to become whole together. MEN and WOMEN need each other to complete the GOD circle, mandala, symbol created in Genesis.

So the word men comes out of the word women, as reversed, in order, to stay in accordance to the Adam and Eve story that the woman, Eve, came out of Adam. It is true only if MEN had the angle to begin with. Another story created from my discoveries of how to draw a GOD circle from Genesis would be that the MEN symbol was created and then the WOMEN symbol was created with an added "rib" direction, but not taken from MEN symbol. It would have had to be created from angels, angles, as it refers to the added direction of an angle, a sacred geometrical line, for a navigational compass. Or, the MEN symbol was created after the WOMEN symbol.)

END OF COMMENTS

The concept of God, physically shapes our individual circumstances into that of wholeness. When we welcome God into our lives, the angels, the angles of the circle, balance out the imbalance, and thus we become whole again; we know GOD.

I conserve the concept of GOD as a circle, a symbol, a sacred geometrical shape that is eternally evolving us into greater wholeness. I have humbly found wholeness in 12-step recovery programs. I appreciate Bill W. and Dr. Bob's profound work, as they created the 12-step program because it sums up this idea of GOD.

Since the 12-step program deals with the number 12, the 12 hours of the day, segments of 12 in every circle, or day, with this idea, they help people put their lives together one day at a time. The 12-step program shows us how to welcome GOD into our lives and literally helps us through managing us with the 12 steps. Within the 12-hours of the day, others help others , and order is created out chaos, with the help of a Higher Power. Does the Higher Power represent new angles for our God Circle? Are these new angles, angels?
It is quite an easy drawing to create out of Genesis if you follow the directions. It is such a wonder to me why humanity fought so many wars over this simple idea. Hmmm...

Well, now you know, this is my idea of conserving GOD in my life. I hope you find your GOD within as well!

This is where my compassion comes in.
To be a compass, to be compassionate is to be balanced with GOD.
